Online Safety at Moat Hall Primary Academy

Here at Moat Hall we are committed to giving children the knowledge and skills to keep themselves safe online. The internet offers a wealth of knowledge and can be an excellent learning tool. However, it can be dangerous and expose children to risks. Being safe online means Children are protecting themselves and others from online harms and risks which may jeopardise their personal information, lead to unsafe communications or even effect their mental health and wellbeing.

Our Curriculum offer:

Children are taught:

  • that people sometimes behave differently online, including by pretending to be someone they are not

  • that the same principles apply to online relationships as to face-to-face relationships, including the importance of respect for others

  • the rules and principles for keeping safe online: how to recognise risks, harmful content and contact, and how to report them

If you are concerned are concerned about online abuse or the way someone is communicating on the internet, let CEOP know.

CEOP are experienced Child Protection Advisors.
