Safeguarding at Moat Hall Primary Academy

Moat Hall primary is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of all our children in school, and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and follow our safeguarding policy and procedures. We recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all the children and this is at the centre of our work.

Safeguarding is about ensuring that:

·         everyone is safe from harm

·         safe from bullying

·         safe from people who could abuse

·         safe from discrimination or harassment

·         children feel safe in their environment

We believe that pupils have the right to learn in a supportive, caring and safe environment which includes the right to protection from all types of abuse. Our staff are vigilant and confident to apply our safeguarding processes. We encourage children to talk openly, and we enable them to feel confident that they will be listened to.

If you are concerned about the safety or well being of a child at our school please talk to one of the school’s Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs).
