Children in Years 3-6 are eligible to become part of the Children's University Scheme. This is a national scheme which encourages and rewards children's participation in extra-curricular activities, held both inside and outside of school. Children are encouraged to develop new interests and join in with new activities. These are validated with the University which enables children to collect stamps in their own Passport to Learning. This in turn culminates in a graduation ceremony from the Children's University. 30 stamps secures the bronze award and then there is a pathway through certificates, diplomas and degrees!
At our first graduation ceremony in July 2021, 37 children received awards - an amazing achievement and a proud moment for everyone involved.
