Sports Premium at Moat Hall
This was introduced to improve the provision of physical education and school sport in primary schools across England. The funding is provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health, Culture, Media and Sport. The funding is allocated directly to primary schools and is ring-fenced which means it can only be spent on improving the provision of PE and sport in schools.
Sports Premium must be spent by schools on making additional and sustainable improvements to the provision of PE and sport activities that schools already offer or to make improvements that will benefit pupils in future years.
Schools can choose how they use the funding, for example:
- Hire qualified sports coaches to work alongside teachers
- Provide existing staff with training and resources to help them teach more confidently
- Introduce more sports and activities and encourage more pupils to take part
- Run sport competitions
- Run after school clubs.
How we use our Sports Premium is shown below.
